"Coffee itself has changed. The coffee that people drink now is very different in comparison from that of 10 or 20 years ago. As coffee has exploded so has its role in mixology," explains Tom Baker, Co-Founder, Mr Black. "When we started Mr Black six years ago, not much was happening in that space. Now, most bars see the importance of a modern coffee cocktail on their menu."

"Up until recently, there hadn"t been many good coffee liqueurs for bartenders and consumers to work with," he continues. "Since the start of Mr Black five years ago, we saw the dual rise of coffee culture and craft distilling, and it’s really culminating now with the incredible coffee cocktails being offered at top venues worldwide. When a product is made well, it naturally follows that there are better-tasting coffee cocktails as it allows bartenders to really explore quality flavors."

"People tend to avoid sweeter drinks during hot days and look for a more refreshing and drier style of beverage. Thus Mr Black fits perfectly for any kind of summer style spritz drink and, of course, make your aperitivo hours a bit longer with a caffeine kick," says Martin Hudak, Global Coffee Ambassador, Mr Black. "The Espresso Martiki is a creation from years ago back at The Savoy where I wanted to implement more of a tropical approach to the classic Espresso Martini. Since then, everywhere I travel, I place this drink on the menu and it’s a big success. People love tropical flavors."
